Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Admissions, the Admissions Specialist is responsible for upholding the high quality of the daily activities of the office of Undergraduate Admissions, ensuring exemplary customer service, efficient and timely student-centered problem resolution, and accuracy in data reporting. As a frontline team member, the Specialist is critical in participating in and leading enrollment-related initiatives and undertakings. The Specialist is a well-rounded enrollment professional supporting Baruch College’s vision and mission for strategic enrollment management and student success.
In addition to the duties in the CUNY title Overview, the Admissions Specialist will:
· Participates as an active member of the Admissions Leadership Team assisting in strategic enrollment planning and implementing admissions goals.
· Serve as liaison to various campus partners that work closely with the Undergraduate Admissions Office in achieving the College’s enrollment goals and help students succeed.
· Oversee the workflow of admission and enrollment data in the CRM system, preparing the system for each upcoming cycle and ensuring an efficient and accurate data export to our student information People Soft System (CUNYFirst).
· Work with the admissions communications team to develop multimedia communications to serve the needs of our enrollment and recruitment efforts.
· Prepare admissions reports and surveys as directed, ensuring data is accurate and useful.
· Handle a high volume of communications with prospective and admitted students via email, phone, walk-in consultations, and virtual events.
· Evaluate and audit student records and transcripts and communicate updates, issues, needs, and other admissions-related information to prospective students.
· Assists with processing credit evaluations for admitted students.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and four years’ related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
· Strong customer service and organizational skills.
· Ability to multi-task in a very busy office.
· Experience conducting presentations to students, and large audiences both in-person and virtually.
· Previous experience with CRM and/or Admissions Student systems.
· Strong Computer and Technical Skills.

Oversees staff activities; plans and monitors employee scheduling and coverage and coordinates training
Serves as liaison to one or more departments providing student support services, such as Financial Aid
Coordinates selection process activities such as applications review, verification of information, and timely forwarding of data to other CUNY areas
Coordinates mailings and other communications
Monitors activity and reports on both transactions and outcomes
Completes projects to improve services and enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
Performs related duties as assigned.
